As a partner, you actively support the realization of the connecting corridor or restoration projects of the collection. At the same time, the collaboration with Haarlemmermeermuseum De Cruquius offers many opportunities to support your business objectives. The topic of the Netherlands below sea level is more relevant than ever due to climate crises and rising sea levels. Part of this story can be seen in the new pavilion in an interactive polder model and in an animation by Niels Mud.
In the future connecting corridor between the pumping station and the pavilion, this story will be expanded with information about water and dike management, life below sea level, and the effects of climate change on the Netherlands and the Haarlemmermeer polder. As early as 300 years ago, meteorologist Nicolaus Cruquius demonstrated that the sea level was rising and the ground was sinking. The story belongs in the museum.
For this project, we are looking for sponsors for the final meters. Read more about it in the framework below.
connecting corridor
One of the gems in the polder, the Cruquius Museum, is nearing the finish line of a large restoration and expansion project. The pumping station, a national monument, has been restored and reconfigured, the new Cruquius Pavilion has been completed, and the tea house has also undergone a transformation. The team of employees and the 250 volunteers are looking forward to introducing the public to the spectacular story of Haarlemmermeer. How the lake was drained and how the polder could then grow into a city where it is good to live, work, and recreate, and from where tens of thousands of journeys through the air begin daily.
We have one more wish: a connecting corridor between the different building sections that will make a visit to our museum even more enjoyable. To realize this wish, we call upon you.The connecting corridor measures 22 meters and 22 centimeters. We are looking for large and small sponsors who would like to adopt (deci)meters. For an amount of €15,000 per meter, you will help us complete the renovation.
We would like to offer something in return. In a conversation, we would be happy to discuss what we can offer in exchange. The possibilities – depending on the number of (deci)meters you sponsor – are unlimited: from name recognition to the use of our auditorium; from free access to guided tours for your staff or customers; from exclusive evening openings to selling your product in our museum shop. We are happy to create a custom sponsorship package with you.
