Partnership

As a partner, you actively support the creation of the connecting corridor or restoration projects of the collection. At the same time, the partnership with Haarlemmermeer Museum De Cruquius offers many opportunities to support your business objectives.

connecting corridor

The subject of the Netherlands below sea level is more topical than ever due to climate crises and rising sea levels. Part of this story can be seen in the new pavilion in an interactive polder model and in an animation by Niels Mud.

In the future connecting corridor between pumping station and pavilion, this story will be extended with information on water and dike management, life below sea level and the consequences of climate change for the Netherlands and the Haarlemmermeer polder. As early as 300 years ago, meteorologist Nicolaus Cruquius showed that the sea level was rising and the land was sinking. The story belongs in the museum.

We are looking for sponsors for this project. Read the box about this special project below.

connecting corridor

One of the pearls in the polder, Cruquius Museum, is nearing the finishing line of a major restoration and expansion project. The steam pumping station, a national monument, has been restored and redesigned, the new Cruquius Pavilion has been completed and the teahouse has also undergone a metamorphosis.

The team of staff and the 250 volunteers look forward to introducing the public to the spectacular story of Haarlemmermeer. How the lake was drained and how the polder was then able to grow into a city where it is good to live, work and relax, and from where tens of thousands start their journey through the air every day.

one wish

We still have one wish: a connecting corridor between the various building parts that would make a visit to our museum even more pleasant. To realise this wish, we are appealing to you.

The connecting corridor measures 22 metres and 22 centimetres. We are looking for big and small sponsors who want to adopt (deci)metres. For an amount of €15,000 per metre, you will help complete the renovation.

We are happy to offer something in return. We will be happy to discuss what we can offer in return. The possibilities - depending on the number of (deci)metres you sponsor - are endless: from naming to use of our auditorium; from free admission to guided tours for your staff or customers; from an exclusive evening opening to selling your product in our museum shop. We would be happy to tailor a sponsorship package with you.
