Pavilion

Objectenwand

Next to the Pumping Station De Cruquius stands the new Cruquius pavilion. From the outside, the rust-colored steel facade seems to wave like water from the former Haarlemmermeer. Inside, you will find the treasure chamber of the Haarlemmermeer heritage with special objects, photos, films, and an interactive water map. The museum tells the story of the pioneers who created the polder by manually digging the Ringvaart and waterways. It marked the start of a dynamic polder at 5 meters below sea level.
