Next to Cruquius Pumping Station stands the new Cruquius Pavilion. From the outside, the rust-brown steel facade seems to undulate like water from the former Haarlemmermeer. Inside, you will find the treasure trove of Haarlemmermeer heritage with special objects, photos, films and an interactive water map. The museum tells of the pioneers who made the polder by digging the Ring Canal and canals by hand. It was the start of a dynamic polder at 5 metres below see level.
